Wed night. Our first TOP CHEF NIGHT, so any of you TC fans that want to gather and watch come on down....10pm - 11pm right here at chez Salt. To make it even better we will be serving $2 Stella's at the bar from 9:30pm - 11:30pm. Some come cheer on you fav (Spike) or put some kind of voodoo curse on your least (Lisa, Andrew)! Ok, so there were a few of you here to help me watch my Rangers set themselves up in a great position to show just how good they really are. After allowing themselves to get into a 3-0 hole to Pitt, now is when they will turn it on to show all the world they are Stanley Cup worthy......We will gather once again at the bar Thursday night at 7:05, and we will prevail, and we will laugh at the nay-sayers, and we will raise a glass to the mighty blue shirts at they plow there way back through the lowly penguins. ( Then reality will probably have to set in and we will have to come to the conclusion that they blew it again ) GO BLUE!

Thank you to all of you who joined us last night here at Salt, it was a great opening. In spite of the crappy weather and being a Monday you all ventured out to help us open and we appreciate it! To those of you who haven't made it in yet we look forward to seeing you! We had a few minor glitches last night, to be expected on an opening night, but all in all we were real happy with everything, the staff was great, the kitchen rocked and all of you made it a great night! Pics are coming!
So now is when the real stories begin, and boy will there be alot...and I have to say i look forward to them, even if they stress me out, drive me insane and make me wonder why i chose this profession. Each of those stories it dealing with the public, dealing with staff, dealing with my own insanity or what ever else goes on in the day of a restaurant it's what makes me tick, and I look forward to giving you all a glimpse into what a day is like in a restaurant! *Warning to the faint of heart*- there is usually foul language involved, and sometimes references to things some may find offensive....but fuck it, that's what the restaurant business is all about and what has kept me in it for 25+ years.

Salt is SOOOOOOOOOO happy to announce that WE ARE NOW OPEN. As of 5:00 this afternoon we are off and running. Its been a long haul, but we are there and can't wit to see you all and show you what we've been working on all this time. Now granted, the weather is shitty, and it is a Monday night, but come on down for a cold beer, a great meal, and what we hope will be a great night out. See ya here!
