That shit was just WAYYYY to close.....wow! Could you have imagined? And who would have thought that Richard would have blown it so bad when it really counted? I have to hand it to Lisa though, she showed them both up tonight, but when you add up week after week....well, she just did'nt even belong in the finale'. Well, another season down, and we had fun here at Salt watching it each week, even when it did suck or the judging was uneven, or they crucified SOME people for dipping their fingers in food to taste and not others, or called out people that did'nt stay true to the challenge and let others skate around that small fact...or even just the simple fact that they actually let a hammer-head like Eric through the screening process. We enjoyed the company here, and it really was fun...So what's next you might ask?...hmmmmm.

Yeah, Lisa had a "good night" for once but ultimately it was going to be a tough choice between Lisa and Richard. Richard made that choice a lot easier for the judges. Also, I think the judges were hoping for a female chef to take the cake. Richard often had the Wow factor, was extremely knowledgable, and simply cooked good food (even if it needed some "SALT" and pepper... Stephanie was more quiet and reserved but she featured what is arguable one of the most important characteristics of a chef...she was consistent. She obviously has a phobia for desserts but aced that wedding cake! This time, is was just OK and the others were better but as Brad said, week after week, she was also there for be contended with and with no doubt in my mind earned the title of TOP CHEF this year. Congrats stephanie and congrats Richard on the birth of your baby daughter. What..I'm not going to congratulate Lisa.....um...no. She was lucky just to be there!
